An Australian bush or small tree, which has brush-like bright red flowers. It has been in my green house over 10 years growing very slowly but flowering every summer. Though the leaves are hard, it is a subtropical plant tolerating only some minus degrees and that's why can't be placed outside. It is usually seen in Mediterranean region as a decorative garden bush. In Nepal it was common on roadsides and attracted a great amount of many different butterflies.
