Iris pseudacorus (Keltakurjenmiekka)

This high growing, yellow Iris prospers near the pond, typical for this water loving plant. It is quite common in southern Finland along the rivers and lakes. People love this flower and often plant them in their gardens. It is partly the reason why pseudacorus is so common everywhere. The seeds float well and I believe someone har thrown some seeds into my pond, maybe it was I myself, but I really don't remember any more.
