This is a very common pioneer plant of the boreal region and it can grow in enormous amounts f.ex. on old forest cuts. It flowers in the end of July when most other flowers are already over. We consider this plant as one of the worst garden weeds, but many tourists like to take photos of fields full of this intense lilac flower which we also call "the rose of a yobbo". I my garden in appears on many places as an unwelcome weed, but I'll try to find some lonely corner for it to grow in peace.
