The rock - Kallio

My village (Koskenkylä) is a very rocky place near the Finnish gulf of Baltic sea. There is about 30m high rock on the north side of my garden collecting the warmth from sun and protecting the garden against cold north winds. The stone of this rock is quite mineral rich allowing also some calcium dependent genus as Asplendium and Saxifraga to grow there. In the spring the rock is exceptionally full of flowers dominated by Viola tricolor, Lychnis viscaria and Solidago virgaurea.
