Ligularia dentata (Kallionauhus)

This large perennial plant from China and Japan is often seen in boreal gardens. Due to its late flowering time, it functions as an important source of nectar to the hibernating butterflies. I garden it grows best in sheltered place on nutritious, humid soil. The whole plant is poisonous to some extent.
