Liatris spicata (Punatähkä)

A beautiful, spike-formed perennial flower from eastern North America. Its colors attracts butterflies and also the attention of people. The root may be damaged in too humid conditions in winter, so sandy soil is usually needed. The voles are unfortunately usually fond of the strong root of this poor flower.
