A southern European species which is seldom seen in Finnish gardens because it easily freezes during the winter. I have managed to keep it alive at least a couple pf winters just with a minimal protection. This plant is for long time used to extract its yellow pigment in natural dyeing. The plant is otherwise poisonous but beatiful while flowering.
