Fritillaria meleagris (Kirjopikarililja)

An early blooming lily with a mysterious looks. It is native to Europe growing wild only in the southwestern archipelago, where it is protected. It has due to the climate change easy to feel comfortable and even to propagate in most places in southern Finland. I use to sample the seeds each summer and sow them to new places.
