Most of the Cytisus species are European or West Asian. This species is common in many gardens as a land covering low growing plant. Perhaps it is so popular due to its bright yellow, numerous flowers which are so many that all the plant turns yellow. This species gets easily damage of an unknown reason, but it repairs itself usually rapidly. In my garden it has reproduced, probably from seeds which should be uncommon phenomenon for such a southern species.
