Crocus vernus grows in every garden telling us in the spring that the winter is finally over. But not very many gardeners own this Southeast European Crocus species, which have more delicate flowers. Not because it tolerates poorly our winter. I have managed to keep the onions alive now 2 winters but the plants has neither been stronger nor more numerous.
