I found this small bush to grow in great amounts on a field near my relative's house in Italy. Nobody recognized the species. From the beginning it was clear that it belongs to Carpinus family. The exact species may be C.orientalis which is not originally Italian species at all but comes from the eastern Mediterranean region. My plants have hibernated in Finland well at least 2 times and I have not heard anybody else have it in his garden in the northern Europe.
