This is a perennial rapidly growing plant that forms a 1.5m high bush in the late summer. Is grows along the roadside as about 15m long dense fence. When flowering with millions of small creamy colored flowers it is really a conspicuous sight. As many other plants of this family A.divaricatum behaves like an unlimited weed. Until now its invasiveness in boreal region seems to be restricted on other localities in the same garden. I have never seen this plant growing wild in the nature.
